About Us
The American Serbian Club was formed by the many Serbian settlers who immigrated to the US after the first and second world wars. It was a gathering place for a few generations of Serbs in the Buffalo area. As new immigrants started coming in the late 90s, they were drawn to the club, as well. There were many memories made in that Tonawanda street building. People from the community recall birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, retirement parties, and many celebrations over the years. A lof of Buffalonians claim to have “grown up” in the Serbian Club.
Our goal
Connect the Serbian community living in WNY again.
Two couples, kumovi, and good friends, Dusan & Stephanie Ristic and Boris & Dragana Zinaja, stepped up and decided to purchase the club, therefore continuing the 70+ year tradition. Without any prior restaurant/club experience, they hope to reestablish the club as a welcoming gathering place for Serbs born in Western New York, those who have more recently come to the area, and all other people interested in learning about Serbian culture and traditions in a warm and relaxing environment where they can feel at home.
